“HEPPP”: ANECD’s Program for Nurturing Families Through Early Learning and Positive Parenting
17 November 2025
Since its launch in 2023, the Health, Early Learning, and Protection Parenting Program in Early Childhood (HEPPP) has continued to support families across Lebanon in creating nurturing and responsive home environments. The program aims to strengthen positive parenting practices, promote early learning, and enhance caregivers’ mental well-being, working closely with partner organizations and community actors to reach families in diverse contexts.
During the most recent period, HEPPP completed its third implementation cycle in collaboration with three community partners. Between May and October 2025, 150 families joined 20 online sessions that explored topics such as responsive parenting, early childhood development, and mental health for caregivers. These sessions provided a safe and accessible space for caregivers to share experiences, learn new approaches, and stay connected despite the challenges of daily life.
While displacement and insecurity continued to affect many areas, the program managed to sustain strong participation throughout the cycle. Mentors maintained close contact with families, providing regular coaching and follow-up to ensure the continuity of sessions and coordination with partners.
As HEPPP looks ahead, it aims to reach even more communities and deepen engagement with caregivers, building on the progress and shared learning achieved over the past three cycles.
