ARNEC Releases Coffee Table Book Resilient Futures: Impacts of Climate Change on Young Children
13 February 2026
The Asia-Pacific Regional Network for Early Childhood (ARNEC) released a coffee table book titled “Resilient Futures: Protecting Young Lives in a Changing Climate” during ARNEC’s youth webinar, organized on February 12, 2026.
The coffee book features 26 powerful photos and stories captured by ARNEC’s Youth Champions, and it offers a window into the lives of communities living on the frontlines of climate change across the Asia-Pacific region. Developed under ARNEC’s regional initiative called “Climate Change through the Eyes of Young Children”, the Youth Champions were trained in Photovoice methodology to document the impacts of climate change on young children.
Sharing snippets from the book during the webinar, ARNEC highlighted both the challenges faced by young children and the critical importance of their well-being. Climate change poses the greatest threat to our planet and ourselves and it disproportionately affects young children. Since 2019, ARNEC, which was among the first in the region and globally to articulate how climate change risks young lives, has continued to raise awareness of the interlinkages between ECD and climate change.
The book is available in a digital format as well as a printed resource (only on demand).
