“Urjouha” Activities During the Israeli War on Lebanon

2 July 2026

The Urjouha platform, in cooperation and coordination with the Lebanese Ministry of Social Affairs – Social Development Center in the Bayssour area, organized a series of interactive and supportive activities for children and their families. This comes as part of the platform’s efforts to enhance psychosocial support and assist caregivers and children in light of the Israeli war on Lebanon and displacement.

The activities included dialogue sessions with parents that addressed the impact of displacement and daily stressors on children’s development and behavior. They also discussed the prominent educational and parenting challenges facing families and ways to deal with them in a manner that respects children’s psychological and emotional needs.

For their part, the children participated in various activities including drawing, doll-making, interactive play, and handicrafts, including activities on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. These activities allowed the children to express their thoughts and feelings, and enhanced their interaction with their peers within a supportive and age-appropriate environment.

Among the activities organized:

  • A dialogue session with parents on displacement and behavioral challenges among children.
  • Drawing, doll-making, and interactive play activities for children.
  • An activity on the occasion of Eid al-Adha that included making “Eid sheep” models using handicrafts.

Through these activities and others, Urjouha continues to work on providing supportive spaces for children and caregivers, based on its belief that play, expression, and participation are essential elements in supporting children’s psychosocial health and enhancing their ability to adapt and be resilient during crises.
