I am so saddened to hear of the passing of Youssef Hajjar. He was such an extraordinary man and truly generous in every sense of the word. He gave all he had to those he knew and worked with, and was full of love, life, a great sense of humor, and the kindest nature. He treated everyone as an equal, never wavered in his values or principles, and was always on the right side of every issue and every struggle.

It breaks my heart that the world is now without this wonderful soul. We need men like Youssef more than ever.

I send my deepest condolences to his wife and loved ones, and take solace in having been fortunate enough to have known and worked with him. He will be profoundly missed, but his spirit lives on in all of us who were touched so deeply by his example and by his love, generosity, and gracious spirit.
