Dr. Fayez Al-Fasfous/ Palestine, Early Childhood Resource Center and Member of the Palestinian Early Childhood Network

12 October 2026

The knight who spent his life defending the innocence of childhood and human dignity has departed. You have left us in body, Yousef Hajjar, but your impact remains deeply rooted in the consciousness of generations. You were not merely an educator. You also built barriers against marginalization, and you were a pioneer founder who helped lay the pillars of the Arab Network for Early Childhood Development (ANECD) and shape its regional policies, alongside your illustrious journey within the Arab Resource Collective (ARC) through your vision and dedication.

You were an inspiration and a compass, guiding hundreds of educators toward teaching that respects the child’s humanity. Your passing is a profound loss to the Arab educational landscape, but your living legacy, within both institutions and hearts, will remain a beacon illuminating the path to the future. Peace and serenity on your soul. Farewell, teacher of generations.
