The United Republic of Tanzania, in collaboration with the Tanzania Early Childhood Development Network (TECDEN) and the Africa Early Childhood Network (AfECN), hosted the Eastern Africa Regional Early Childhood Conference from March 10th to March 15th.

The conference aimed to enhance investments in early childhood and provide a platform to assess the current state of early childhood development in the EAC region. It also facilitated knowledge-sharing and innovative approaches to scaling up quality early childhood interventions.

Participants included government officials, national ECD networks, development partners, civil society organisations, academia, global ECD experts, ECD practitioners, and program planners from eight countries in the Eastern and Horn of Africa region and AU Regional Economic Communities.
