The International Step by Step Association (ISSA) is conducting its 2026 Conference in Lisbon, Portugal. The event takes place from October 22 to 23. It brings together policymakers, researchers, and advocates from around the world. ISSA aims to build stronger, integrated early childhood systems. This gathering places the wellbeing of every child at the center of the discussion.

The conference serves as an official milestone toward the 2027 International Finance Summit for Early Childhood. ISSA is inviting countries to plan their commitments ahead of the summit. Participants will also engage with the Act for Early Years campaign. The association seeks to improve coordination across health, education, and social protection sectors.
