During the past few weeks, U.S. university campuses saw clashes between students, faculty, and administrations over pro-Palestinian protests. At New York University (NYU), the home of Global TIES for Children (NYU-TIES), faculty and students were arrested during a peaceful demonstration in solidarity with Palestine. The situation in Gaza is dire, with UNICEF labelling it the most dangerous place in the world for children. Destruction of infrastructure, including schools and hospitals, has been catastrophic. The International Court of Justice (ICJ) suggests these conditions may amount to genocide.

In this call for action, NYU Global TIES for Children calls for a ceasefire while standing with Palestine, pro-Palestinian protestors and against Israel’s systematic and historical oppression of Palestinians and its current war on Gaza.
