Get ready for the launching of Palestinian Childhoods: Solidarity and Ṣumūd, an immersive experience to counter the dehumanization of the Palestinian people.
From September 1st to 14th 2025, an alliance of ECD change makers will host a series of exhibition and events at UCL East to spotlight Palestinian children’s struggle for everyday life, love, play and learning in the face of loss and brutality.
The event will showcase art, letters, poetry, and film, demonstrating community resistance as young Palestinians remind the world, “We are not numbers”. You will hear from several participants, including Dr Ghassan Abu- Sittah, a British-Palestinian Associate Professor of Surgery, war surgeon, founder of the The Ghassan Abu Sittah Children’s Fund, and Rector of the University of Glasgow.
The event is organized and supported by: Critical Childhood Studies Centre, Open City Documentary Festival, Anti-Genocide University, UCL Social Research Institute, Division of Psychology and Language Sciences, and School for the Creative and Cultural Industries.
