Workshop on the Working Conditions of Educators in Nurseries and Kindergartens Study in Lebanon

Within the framework of the memorandum of understanding signed between the “Arab Network for Early Childhood” and the “Higher Council for Childhood” at the Lebanese Ministry of Social Affairs, the “Higher Council” conducted a workshop on “the Working Conditions of Educators in Nurseries and Kindergartens study” previously conducted by the “Arab Network” in seven Arab countries: Palestine, Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, Tunisia, Morocco, and Oman.

Representatives from the Ministries of Social Affairs, Public Health, Higher Education, the nursery unions in Lebanon and the Private Schools Association in Lebanon participated in the workshop. They are members of the “National Group for Early Childhood Development in Lebanon” formed at the Ministry of Social Affairs. Also present at the workshop were the coordinator of the “Arab Network” and representatives from “Saint Joseph University” and an expert specialising in early childhood curricula.

The participants came up with national recommendations that can be built upon to improve the working conditions of educators in nurseries and kindergartens in Lebanon.
